It is a beautiful cabinet in relatively good condition for it's age but it does have some repairs. This is NOT a two spool machine but takes a bobbin. There are some books and attachments, maybe even a threading guide, available, hit and miss, on the internet. I did see a video of a lady using an Eldredge machine and her attachment container was the same. One of the attachments says "Greist" on it and so I don't know if they are the original attachments (kind of doubt it) or if they fit or not. The attachment case that came with it only says "attachments" on it, where as I have seen them with "Eldredge"on the case. The instruction book that comes with it, is strictly for the attachments. I have also read that they can sew through tougher or thicker things than you would expect. I have read that they have a complicated threading route but that due to this they have great tension control. It has a belt but it is not on all the way. I have not tried to use it but everything seems to turn freely and smoothly. But I cannot find "National" on this one anywhere, leading me to believe it may possibly be pre 1890 but I can't be sure. I have seen other "Improved Eldredge Rotary" sewing machines that were slightly different and have the name "National" on them along with "Eldredge" and different serial numbers. I really don't know much about them but my research shows that National bought out or took over Eldredge in 1890 and started putting "National" on them with the "Eldredge" name. This is an "Improved Eldredge Rotary" (stamped on the front of the machine) treadle sewing machine. SHIPPING IS JUST AN ESTIMATE!
